Remember what Bilbo used to say...

" It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to."

The Year of the Tiger : Gung Hay Fat Choy!

Gung Hay Fat Choy!

This was our first Chinese new year. We got the opportunity to go to a roof for a clear view. We paid the price it was very cold and wet, but once the fireworks started we forgot about everything.

I am only going to post a few photos here. If you want to see more photos please head over to "View Flickr Photostream" on the right side of my blog.

The fireworks were spectacular!!
Here are a few quotes about Chinese New year:

“For most of us, it's a time for us to get together and talk about our past, present and future. The Chinese New Year is the most important holiday in China. It's very much like Christmas or Thanksgiving in the United States.”~Feng Niu

“Every year, we receive thousands of scholars and experts from abroad, but it is only in recent years that the Chinese have began to appreciate New Year pictures.” ~ Guo Shurong

“Be at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let every new year find you a better man.” ~Benjamin Franklin quotes
